Selfless Love Academy is the capstone of Selfless Love Foundation’s independent living initiative. It is an intensive life and leadership training program for young adults who have experienced foster care.
Program Info
Selfless Love Academy APPLICATION requirements
- Applicants must be 18-25 years of age
- Applicants must have completed the Dale Carnegie Foundations of Success course
- Applicants must attend meetings from September 2025 through April 2026
- Applicants must submit a 30-second video
- Applicants must be available to travel for rehearsal
- Applicants must be available to travel to Palm Beach in April 2026
- Applicants will present a speech on Friday, April 10, 2026
- Applicants must agree to be featured in digital and marketing materials
The Program
The program culminates in a graduation celebration, where each youth delivers a speech reflecting on their journey. Scholars are evaluated on their commitment to the program and the strength of their presentation. All graduates receive monetary awards, and one outstanding individual is selected as the Top Scholar — the program’s highest honor.
The Prerequisites
As a prerequisite to applying, youth must complete the Dale Carnegie Foundation for Success course. During the nearly year-long program, students commit to 150 hours of leadership training, including financial literacy, public speaking, business etiquette, and one-on-one executive coaching.
Additional Information
- Selfless Love Foundation will cover travel expenses
- Each graduate will receive $1,000
- The Top Scholar will receive $5,000
