Driving Change in Adoption
National Think Tank Report
Selfless Love Foundation held a National Think Tank in 2025, bringing together youth with lived experience in foster care and adoption, child welfare professionals, and researchers from across the country. Their task: to recommend changes to the Federal Adoption policy that hasn’t seen major updates in nearly 30 years. The Driving Change in Adoption report by Chapin Hall translates the National Think Tank findings into actionable strategies for agencies, adoption organizations, and advocates.

Selfless Love Foundation Advocacy Win
Advocacy leads to law
Selfless Love Foundation’s advocacy work has led to a Florida Law securing the photos of children in foster care who are available for adoption. For more than two years, SLF, staff champions, and youth advocates worked together to remove public access to photos of vulnerable children. This legislative win for safety and youth voice took effect on July 1, 2024!
