Valeria

Valeria was receiving her degree in Psychology from Florida International University when Covid transpired. Not allowing her milestone moment to not be celebrated, she participated in Selfless Love’s Virtual Graduation celebrating foster youth across the state of Florida.

Taking advantage of this moment she built a relationship with SLF’s Executive Director, Dr. Wynter and asked for her help with her resume. She also shared her desire to work in child welfare. Dr. Wynter helped Valeria with her resume, made a few phone calls to agencies, and Valeria did an awesome job interviewing.

We are so proud of Valeria and her new career as a Case Manager at Children’s Home Society where she will be able to help other foster youth.
